See every line in two languages while you watch YouTube. We highlight one useful word at a time and keep every one in your word list, no clicking needed.
Pick the language you're learning and the one you already know. Both lines show up together, right on the video, so you never pause to look things up.
Watching with a friend or partner from another country? You each get your own language on screen. Best of both worlds.
Instead of colouring the whole screen, we only highlight words at the levels you turn on. Their meaning lights up in the translation too.
Tap a level to switch its words on or off.
Every word we highlight goes into your word list on its own, no clicking needed. Then a quick quiz, built from the lines you heard them in, helps them stick.

Finally an extension that doesn't paint every single word like a Christmas tree. Highlighting just 1 B1 word in yellow and its English match in cyan lets me actually enjoy the video.
The 'Blur until hover' setting under Subtitle Styles is my favorite feature. I listen to the Mandarin dialogue first and only hover when I miss a phrase.
Zero sign-up or tracking. Everything stays in local storage and the dual subtitles kick in instantly. Super lightweight compared to bloated alternatives.
Yes. Two subtitles at once, the video's own subtitles and YouTube's built-in translations all work for free, straight away. The optional AI extras (smarter translations and word highlights) need an OpenRouter key, which you add in Settings. OpenRouter bills you directly for what you use.
No. There's nothing to sign up for. Your settings and saved words stay in your own browser.

Only the words at the levels you turn on, so most of each line stays unmarked. Each level works on its own: turn on more levels and you see their words too. Highlighting everything turns the screen into a rainbow and you stop enjoying the show.
Yes. Turn on "Blur until hover" and the translation stays hidden until you move your mouse over it.
